Our colleagues in China are advising us that bad weather conditions have been impacting port operations in Shanghai, Ningbo and Qingdao leading to vessel delays.
The latest information on disruptions to port operations and vessel services follows:
Port operations at Wai Gao Qiao and Yangshan are being delayed by at least 3 days and 1.5 days respectively, with delayed opening hours for container yards.
It is possible that some services will start calling at the newly opened Yangshan Terminal 4, which may add more options.
Current waiting time for vessels is estimated at 3 days and the lines are lobbying with the port authority to bring this down to 2 days.
Port operations are back to normal, but the current cargo backlog is expected to take 2 days to clear.
Please be assured that Norman Global Logistics in China is working closely with the terminal operators and we will keep you informed of any developments.
