CMA CGM plans to blank APL Singapura from sailing from Tianjin on the 15th of August, and Shanghai on the 24th the same month.

The blanking decision of APL Singapura, which carries 13,892 TEU, comes as the fifth announcement by the Ocean Alliance.

Earlier in July, Ocean Alliance has already confirmed the blanking of four sailings to maintain the rates and utilization.

THE Alliance has also blanked four peak season loops plus one of the standalone AEX services by Hyundai Merchant Marine.

Compared to last year’s figures, the weekly capacity has reduced 7% from the beginning of July, and the total voided capacity has increased to 153,000 TEU in July and August combined.

At the moment, the 2M alliance remained cautious, has yet to make an announcement on Asia-North Europe sailing lanes.
